Crooks in Of Mice and Men is my hero! He was critisized for being of a different color, which he couldn't help. I mean he couldn't work with the others and he slept in a seperate room attached to the barn. Plus he slept on what? straw? Why would you ever do that to someone if they can't help that they're different?
I went to my aunt's babyshower when she was pregnant two years ago and she invited all of her friends. I didn't know anyone but my mom and grandmother. Every one was wearing frilly clothes and I showed up wearing skinny jeans and converse. I was so out of place and nobody would talk to me. I felt like a freak. But I realized that it doesn't really matter because I was happy and comfortable so what do I care? So I figured out to just go with what I'm happy doing. Well now I kind of guess that's what Crooks was doing too. Besides... now I hate big social gatherings.

You are unique! That's it, period. Leave it there. You can't get around it and the idea that you can is absolutely crazy! You can't let people pick on you for trying something different. For example, my Mother is a hair stylist and I asked her to cut my hair a couple of years ago. I didn't know what I wanted so I said have fun. She gave me this mixture of an "emo" haircut and a mullet! It was horrible and I always got picked on for it, but now I don't care because I have amazing layers in my hair since it grew out. I didn't let the other's bother me too much but it still hurt and that's normal. Everybody gets bullied at some point or another and if you don't you are the bully.
So if you have this great talent,like a guy that can dance or a chick that can wrestle, I say go for it! I'll have your back the whole way. I mean if you want to do it, then do it. Don't let someone push you around or let the bully get to you. That's what they want, a reaction. Besides do you think it would be worth getting mad about? The bully is just sad about their own horrible, pathetic life. They can go pester someone else if your happy.
Peer Pressure! That wonderful thing that all teens go through so we're not alone in our short little lives. And like it;s really worth it! If your happy with what your doing then keep doing it! Understand? KEEP DOING IT! If your friends are always trying to get you to do something you know is incredibly stupid or you don't want to do then they're not a very good friend. And I can think of at least forty people on the spot that need to read this. Leave them! They're being jerks so they're not worth it! that's it. so remember all I have just said.
